90's Punk turned 2013 Pop - Music News Research

As the music tastes of the country have changed, so does the music mainstream bands play. In the nineties and naughties bands like Panic! at the Disco and Fall Out Boy made popular music such as 'Sugar We're Going Down' when more rock music was coming into style.

During their comeback Fall Out Boy have changed to a more pop style

As rock is becoming more 'cool' to like again, I expect bands and artists to begin to turn more heavy over the next few decades. For the music industry, this constant changing means labels must be up to date with what is popular and how to market their artists to best appeal to their changing audience.
